Details:  In my first semester at RISD, I made a website (in the form of a Wiki) titled ‘how to communicate under duress’ - the State of Kashmir in India had just gone into a severe lockdown (which meant locking borders and shutting down the internet and phone lines). The region went into a very dangerous politically charged ‘curfew’ during which many muslims were on the run as they were being hunted down by the authorities - the website included multiple methods of communication during a high-surveillance lockdown like the one in Kashmir, including a system of glyphs that I designed based on the iconic ‘hobocode’ (developed by the Hobo community, first seen more than fifty years ago) - for people on the run to communicate with each other in a safe and secure manner.
